⚠️ MAJOR CHANGE (Jan 2024): The old 'keep money offshore for 1 year' loophole has been CLOSED. Foreign income earned from 2024 onwards that is remitted to Thailand is now taxable REGARDLESS of when it is remitted. Thailand no longer offers a practical territorial tax benefit for most expats.
